I always look forward to conference weekend. An excuse to stay in pajamas all day,
cuddle up on the couch with my family and listen to the leaders of our church
give us encouragement and council is always something we look forward to.
We encourage the kids to listen to conference with us, but
we realize that eight hours over the course of two days is unrealistic for kids
that young. They find ways to break
it up and entertain themselves (and us)…
Sunday afternoon Justin commented that Katie can make it
down the stairs as fast as he can.
Then he had her demonstrate.
Which gave Jason the idea to race his little sister down the
stairs, kindly giving her a slight head start.
This gave the girls an idea (apparently something they
learned from the Gardner cousins). Which sent everyone into excited hysterics.
When they put Katie in Jason’s sleeping bag, claiming it
would be safer since the fabric isn’t silky, and she nearly toppled down the stairs, we had to put an end to the fun.
