Happy Birthday Mom!

Today (Hong Kong time) is my Mom’s birthday – would she be opposed to me posting her age?  Let’s just say it’s a milestone birthday.  We wish we could celebrate with her.  No shocker that I didn’t get a package or card sent to her, but in my defense she is being released from her mission on Thursday and then traveling around the world for several weeks before heading back to the states so I wasn’t sure she’d even get it.  Actually, she doesn’t really care about gifts or cards so I don’t really need to feel guilty at all.  I know she’ll check the blog though and I wanted to let her know how much we love and miss her.

My Mom is the most amazing example to me.  She is the kind of mother I hope to be.  She loves unconditionally, accepting us as we are – flaws and all.  She doesn’t judge and she doesn’t criticize.  I always know she will be there to support, listen, and love.  She’s so much more than a mother she’s a friend and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.
