We attended sacrament meeting near
our hotel in Walnut Creek.
The Maw family was also there and
Bishop even stood up to bear his testimony (they lived in the ward as a young
married couple). Justin thought it would be fun to get a picture of these
two bishopric members randomly attending the same sacrament meeting while on
vacations.
Our hotel was about an hour from
San Francisco with traffic. We stopped in Oakland to walk around the
temple grounds. Such a beautiful temple and the rooftop gardens were fun
to see.
We drove straight to Presidio Park
to catch the picnic in the park and try a yummy food truck that the Vernon's
recommended. French fries in burritos - definitely unique, but
surprisingly tasty.
We walked around a bit along with
water capturing our first views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Man! Selfies are hard with seven –
perhaps we need to get a selfie stick!
Next we ventured over to Lombard
street - the crookedest street in the world.
Perhaps if we ever come back when
the kids are a bit older we’ll rent these fun little cars to get around the
city in.

Then it was off to Fisherman's
Wharf to check out the sea lions on Pier 39 and grab a bite to eat.
We settled on In-N-Out for dinner,
which ended up being a 40 minute wait to actually get said food and turns out
their fries are quite terrible. Probably the most disappointing part of
our day, so I guess we can't really complain much.
We checked into our downtown hotel
late and once again it was right to sleep. Don’t they look so cozy?
