We’ve had a warmer than normal summer this year with several
days reaching the upper 80’s and low 90’s. Since I can stay nice and cool in my air-conditioned house
it hasn’t bothered me and the bonus is that the warmer temps allow the kids to
enjoy water-involved activities.
Apparently Justin bought the kids a slip-n-slide while I was in Hong
Kong two years ago. We set it up
in the backyard on Saturday, July 12th.
It’s a pretty small slide, but the kids spent hours outside playing on
it (Abigail was at Wild Waves with a friend from school).
This was a rare occasion where taking Drew outside didn’t
drive me nuts. He usually won’t
just stay on the nice soft grass and tends to head straight to the concrete or
rough bark instead. The
slip-n-slide completely occupied his attention and as a result we were all able
to relax and enjoy the afternoon.
