Alaska Cruise {Day 1} – Finally Onboard the Disney Wonder

We finally ended up getting to the cruise port about 1:30pm and tried to turn our frowns upside down and get into Disney vacation mode. First things first was getting some ice cream quickly followed by lunch. 

We checked out the kids clubs. Drew beelined it to the area with the iPads.  So many fun, interactive things to do in the kids clubs, yet I’d guess Drew and Katie both spent most of their time in there watching shows or playing on electronics.  Oh well, they are on vacation and they were having a great time so it’s all good.

And then Katie and Drew had a little bit a time to play in the pools.  It was only 70 degrees but they don’t mind the cold and could play in the pools for hours.

Before we knew it it was time to eat again. Food is always plentiful.  Dinner tonight was in the Animators Palate and we of course started the evening with a round of chocolate milk. 

All of us except Abigail went to a ventriloquist comedy show this evening and it was hilarious. Watching something like that with Drew makes it even 1000 times better because he reacts in the funniest way. He got such a kick out of it and Katie loved it so much that she wants to go to the ventriloquist workshop tomorrow. It was a great way to end the evening. We got Katie and Drew to bed around 10pm. Something the older kids really enjoy about Disney cruises is that they are basically on their own for most of the free time. We were able to communicate with them on the Disney app through text and there so many activities going on in the kids club and throughout the ship that they have lots of fun options. I wasn’t up for a late night after our semi-traumatic day. I’m really looking forward to a day at sea and to enjoy all that the Disney Wonder has to offer.
