Carly’s 7th Grade Basketball Season

Carly had one week in October between wrapping up her first volleyball season and starting basketball.  She was happy to make the 7th grade varsity basketball team and chose the same #12 jersey that Abigail played in.  Games started mid-November and concluded just before Christmas break.

As a spectator it seemed Carly was always on defense – she’s an awesome defender, but I missed seeing her shooting the ball and taking it down the court. To her credit she experienced some knee pain throughout the season and wore a brace during practices and games.  There was one player on the team that really stood out and the rest of the team seemed to rely on her for most of the action.  Still a great season, but I hope that next year Carly will regain the confidence we’re used to seeing on the court.

We were on vacation the day they took team pictures so this is the only picture with her team that we have – lack of team pictures seems to be the norm around here.
