Pre-School Graduation

Drew graduated from preschool on Thursday, May 24.  Mrs. Hammer held a little celebration at the church that morning.  The Mom of one of Drew’s classmates is a photographer so she graciously took pictures of the kiddos that were given to us at graduation.  Oh, my handsome little boy!

The kids demonstrated a few of the skills and activities they had worked on during the year.  Marching to music, singing the days of the week and months of the year, signing the alphabet, etc…

He took the spelling test quite seriously and did a great job.

When Drew was asked to share a few things he learned he jumped to the joke first “What did one snowman say to the other snowman? … Do you smell carrots?” and then he was supposed to share a bit about the Boy Who Called Wolf, but he got shy and Mrs. Hammer told about the lesson and Drew nodded when prompted.

Mrs. Hammer has been such a great teacher Drew.  He’s loved going to preschool two mornings a week.

She gave each of the kiddos an alphabet book full of pictures throughout the year.  Such a fun memento!

Drew’s using his proboscis to suck the nectar out of the flowers.

It breaks my heart a little to see him changing into a little school-aged boy.  We talk to him often about us wanting him to stay little, but he’s insistent that he wants to get bigger and he’s so excited to start kindergarten in the fall.  I’m going to miss my little buddy!
