Ward Youth Conference {Camp Zarahemla – May 4-5}

Justin and the girls attended our ward youth conference at Camp Zarahemla over the first weekend in May.  Since Justin was still in the bishopric he helped plan the event and apparently was one of the speakers as well.  According to the itinerary here’s how it all went down:

Friday:

• Leave Church @ 3pm
• Arrive at Camp Zarahemla approx 6pm where dinner was provided by the Laurels
• Skits

• Campfire
• President Smith shared thoughts about Enduring to the End
• Dessert over campfire
• Chatting/hanging out
• Bed 

Saturday:

• Breakfast provided by the Priests
• Morning Devotional about Enduring to the End by Bishopric (Justin)
• Group Games

• Scavenger Hunt
• Lunch provided by Teachers
• Freetime/Packup – unfortunately it rained during this block of time so the kids stayed indoors
• Dinner provided by the MiaMaids
• Cleanup and leave by 6pm

And here’s a brief summary provided by Justin:  “We had a great experience at ward youth conference at Camp Zarahemla - well worth the lengthy drive.  We had inspired messages on the theme Enduring to the End, great food, fun skits, unity games, a unique scavenger hunt and a service project stacking wood.  The YW slept in the lodge and the YM were in the cabins.  We ended up leaving a bit earlier than expected Saturday afternoon as the rain cut into the scheduled free time but overall a good time was had by all.”
