It’s been awhile but today I was back on Legos for a bit with Katie and Drew. Jason even got in on the action and a little progress was made. It’s such a huge undertaking that even after hours of effort it still seems like we have so many Lego sets to assemble.
Jason spent hours outside this afternoon in him hammock listening to his audiobook and, after completing some chores, watching some shows.
Abigail was gone most of the day. This morning she and some friends went to Krispy Kreme to take advantage of a promo today that gave away a free dozen 2020 grad donuts to each 2020 graduate.
Then she went back to Issaquah in the afternoon to fill out a claim at Costco for a missing hubcap from getting our tires replaced on the corolla. She was happy to pick up lunch at Panda Express for us. Then she and her friends went on a bike ride – when they got back to the house Justin and I went biking with Katie and Drew while she made dinner – veggie chili and cornbread.
This was Drew’s first time riding the Lake Alice loop. The terrain includes gravel, bark, mud and asphalt. He did awesome but was pretty tuckered out on the uphill climb into our neighborhood. We knew Katie and Drew would have to walk most of it, but Drew was particularly slow. Can’t blame him, it’s a big hill and he’s just a new little rider.
After dinner I met up with some friends in Andrea’s backyard to catch up with Addy who has been in Utah for over a month and who we haven’t had a chance to catch-up in person with since she finished chemo and radiation in March. It so good to see her regaining her energy and spend hours catching up with some of my favorite ladies.
