Basketball at our middle school is only offered for 7th and 8th graders so this was Jason’s first year playing through the school district. He made the varsity team for his grade and started practices mid-January with games twice a week Feb 10 - Mar 11. Unfortunately, his season was cut short and his last two games were cancelled due to the coronavirus concerns (more on that to come!).
Jason loves playing basketball and plays in a “post” position. He made some awesome shots throughout the season and was a strong defender. He was awarded the Mr. Defense award.
Jason has always had an intense “game face” – and in years past was nicknamed the “angry bird”
There are only three schools that we play against and our team didn’t win any games. We were most competitive against Twin Falls and had some very close games against them and even went into overtime. Our boys had great attitudes though and gave it their best in each game.
Can’t wait to see my boy back on the courts again next year!
